Butane candle lighter basics
Use the specified butane, seat the refill nozzle correctly and wait at least two minutes after filling. Hold the safety lock while operating the ignition switch; release ignition to stop the flame and gas. Check fuel and flame setting before requesting help.
Flexible neck butane lighters
Let the lighter cool before refilling in a ventilated area away from ignition sources and low containers such as sinks. Wait at least two minutes afterward. Start at a low flame setting, pointed away from yourself and flammables. This guidance is for butane models, not rechargeable lighters.
Rechargeable candle lighter care
Fully charge before first use with the supplied cable and disconnect by holding the plug afterward. Avoid moisture and heat; do not use metal tools on electrodes. Stop use if there is abnormal heat, odor, deformation or damage. Follow the supplied instructions for the exact controls and charging port.
Product patent information
The official patent list is organized by product and jurisdiction. Check the product, model and market together in the original list.
Product origin and authenticity questions
Check seller information, branding, stamps and workmanship. A photo or price alone cannot authenticate a product. Keep purchase details and clear product/stamp photographs for customer-service review. Zippo’s source article explains counterfeit and unauthorized branding concerns.
International product reference
For identifying overseas models; this does not establish Taiwan availability, warranty or parts support. Read the complete manufacturer instructions for the exact model.
Outdoor utility lighter
The Outdoor Utility Lighter uses butane. Wait at least two minutes after refilling. Hold the safety lock and ignition control to maintain the flame; release and keep upright until it is completely out. Use the regulator’s plus/minus markings to adjust flame height.
FireFast® Torch
FireFast® uses butane for the household and hobby uses described by Zippo, not commercial or prolonged burning. Cool before refilling and wait at least two minutes afterward. Point away from face, body and clothing; confirm the flame is out after use.
FlameScapes® Spiral Fire Feature
Use only outdoors in a ventilated location away from flammable surfaces. Follow the full instructions for glass, gel fuel and fuel-cover installation. Glass and base become extremely hot; do not touch or move the lit unit. Use the supplied snuffer as instructed and cool completely before storage.

If sparks are weak, first check the wheel’s arrow direction, then the flint. When reinstalling the flint tube, its alignment notch must face the knife/saw blades; incorrect orientation prevents closure. Follow the illustrated instructions for servicing.
AxeSaw
AxeSaw converts to a bow saw using the blade stored in its handle. Follow the illustrated sequence to attach it at the head and handle tension assembly. Read the complete assembly and safety instructions before handling blades.
FireFast Bellows battery check
Check the batteries if the bellows does not run. Open the flame-logo battery cover, install two AA alkaline batteries following the polarity marks and close until latched. Request assistance if new, correctly installed batteries do not resolve the problem.
