How to Refill Your Lighter
Lighter fuel evaporates even when the lighter is not in use. Keep the lid closed and check the fuel before use. Stay away from ignition sources throughout refilling.
- Remove the insert from the case.
- Turn the insert upside down and lift the felt pad to expose the packing material.
- Slowly add Zippo lighter fuel. Stop when the packing material is saturated; do not overfill.
- Replace the felt pad and return the insert to the case.
- Wipe the lighter and your hands dry, and close the fuel container. Check for spilled fuel, then move away from the filling area before lighting.
Do not put the lighter into your pocket immediately after refilling. Spilled fuel may irritate the skin. Wash any skin that comes into contact with fuel.
